Sing easy-to-learn songs in gorgeous harmony with us — all taught by ear, no music to read, no singing experience needed. With no pressure or perfectionism about our singing! We allow our voices to emerge and blend just as they are.

Joyful Voices Chorus
Our 7-week, non-auditioned community choir in San Anselmo, with special guest Katie Sontag on drop-in, open-to-anyone Opening Night and culminating in our community-wide Big Sing with special guest Heather Houston. With a consistent group, we dig into some juicier songs and deepen our feeling of community with each other.

All In Song Circle
Our weekly drop-in song circle in San Anselmo, where (as in all of Marv’s groups) no singing experience is needed, there’s no music to read, all the easy-to-learn uplifting songs are taught by ear, there’s no pressure or perfectionism about our singing, and all voices are welcome. It’s SO. MUCH. FUN. And… You can try it FREE!

Free Pop-Up Choirs
Musical flashmobs that spread the joy of singing together! We show up at public events, like farmers’ markets, and at actions, like Singing Resistance Marin events. Then we invite passers-by to step into our circle, and we sing community-singing songs that we learn in 5 minutes or less!
Saturday, January 17th, 10:15-11:00am under the big tent at the fabulous Marin Country Mart (Larkspur Landing) farmers’ market, 2 minutes off Highway 101!
The Amazing Katie SonTag Opens Choir Season 4/29!
The Spring Season of our non-auditioned Joyful Voices Chorus community choir begins on April 29th! And at this season’s Opening Night, Katie Sontag joins us as Guest Songleader!
Katie is a warm, funny, brilliant songwriter and songleader, and we’re SO lucky that she’s coming from Oregon just for us! (You can hear three of our favorite Katie songs here, here, and here)

Inspired by our friends at Singing Resistance and the Singing Resistance group in Minneapolis/St. Paul, we’ve organized Singing Resistance Marin to protect and care for our community and each other by singing in protest and harmony!
